Progress is slow, but steady. Put out many many orders today, as more yarn was unboxed over the weekend. Many more boxes to go, but we are picking up speed!

Out from the Old, In to the New

Boxed up and ready to go.....

Just a quick update on the expansion and relocation. The movers picked me up on Monday the 22nd. Boxing up all this inventory was no small task. Oh My Gosh!!!

Unloaded in Portland, and the next stage begins!

The movers dropped me off at the new location on Tuesday morning the 23rd. Now the task of building the grid cubes back up and unloading boxes has begun. This is brother Jim. He did all the carpentry work and heavy hauling. He also is responsible for the daily humour! My Mom is with me and she's worked her rear off!! Today I had 3 students for the Art Insitute of Portland, and I was able to start pulling orders. Help will be off and on over the next few weeks, so shipping may not be as quick as you all are used too! But I'm working long days 7 days a week to catch up.

The Cascade 220 is all on the shelves, and orders for that yarn are being processed. Cascade 220 SW is now up and orders for it can also be processed. Most patterns are out, but I'm still wondering what box all my Vermont Fiber Designs ended up in. I've dug out most of the circulars, and Mom has all the double points up. But, there are so many yarns still in boxes.

Be patient!! We're working as fast as our fingers can go, and as long as our brains will allow us before it just putters out!

Angelika's is expanding!

It is final, and I can safely announce that I am expanding Angelika's Yarn Store to Portland, Oregon. As of Saturday, March 20, all stock will be safely bagged and boxed for the moving company arriving on Monday. By late in the week, I should be able to start pulling and shipping your orders again! It may be a few weeks before I am open to the public, but if you call or email, and let me know you want to look-n-see, I will be ready for you. This location is in a quiet strip mall. Ideal for my busy day of shipping, and for you to drop by as it has a nice parking lot, not too much traffic and pretty easy to get to.

The location is 1975 SW First Ave, Suite L, Portland 97201. I will have a new phone number when I move in, and for a while the old number will be forwarded to the new location.

If you are an internet customer, you shouldn't see any changes, except a small delay getting orders out, and maybe a 24hr period where I'm not able to answer the business line. But the web site, and my email communications will continue as normal.

The next week will be a very busy week. I've slowly been moving household goods to Portland, and slowly packing store items that can be boxed up early. But this coming week will be a whirlwind of activity. After 23 years in business and 15 years of that in my current location, you can bet there is a lot of sorting and packing to do.
