I've used it a lot, but it glides like butter and the bed looks super good. $1800.00 Would very much prefer that this machine is picked up from me. I am also selling my PPD. New Arrivals !
New stock is arriving every week! A few weeks ago my 3 new lines of Kertzer Yarns arrived.
Baby Marble Yarn is a beautiful and soft acrylic yarn that changes colors. Baby Marble comes in huge 100 gram balls. This DK (5.5 sts per inch) Yarn is perfect for baby's knits that need to be machine washed.
Marble Chunky Yarn is a beautiful and soft acrylic yarn that changes colors. Marble Chunky comes in huge 200 gram balls. This Chunky Yarn is perfect for children's clothes and busy adults garments that need to be machine washed. At 3.5 sts per inch, these will be fast projects!
Tweed Montage is a yarn with a lot of interest! This wool/acrylic yarn offers unique color striping and an added tweed effect, all in an attractive, value-added 150g ball! Notably, there are 2 pattern repeats per 150g ballContent: 56% Wool, 40% Acrylic, 4% Viscose

The model garment in the store really shows off how beautiful this yarn is. I selfishly wore the tunic for 1/2 a day. I loved the feel of it on. It was so comfortable and didn't feel like a bulky yarn at all!

Portland, Oregon, Yarn Crawl
The Portland Yarn Crawl is Friday, Saturday & Sunday, March 4th, 5th & 6th. I didn’t have my act together and didn’t make the deadline. But I will be open extended hours that weekend for those of you who would like to come by.
I’m not your typical Portland Yarn Store. Looks like a darn warehouse in my place! Yarn stacked from floor to ceiling. None the less, the fact remains, I got yarn and an extremely expansive stock of knitting and crochet tools.

I *can* crochet!
I don't do it much, but I *can* crochet.
I really admire those lacey, delicate crochet shells. The kind that is worn over a silk spagetti strap top.
This little bootie is a "free with purchase" pattern using Plymouth's 100% Angora. I have it in crochet and a knit version. Plymouth's 100% Angora is one of many brand new yarns in the store. You will get sneak previews of them as Henry and I get web pages created and uploaded.
This page isn't quite perfect. Henry is changing some of my pages from "tables" to "divs". Says it is better. It is still in progress. But I can't wait any longer, so I'm giving you a sneak preview.

PS: oh, by the way...FINALLY got the Cascade 220 Superwash page all up to date. SOOOOO many colors!!! Gheeeshe! What a job!

Machine Knitting, again!
This isn't something you've seen me doing for quite a while.
Moving from the country to the city....moving my store from my property to a busy little strip mall has forced me to put machine knitting play time on a back burner. I used to have room to have my machines set up and I could machine knit whenever I wanted. My adorable little condo has no room for a machine. While I have machines out in the store, they are on a display rack which is not suitable for machine knitting actively! Owning and operating in a busy city also curtails my "play" time. Customers are my #1 priority. This is where I bring up Henry. Henry has been working in the store 1-2 days a week, and working from home on the web site. This has slowly eased the work load on me. (THANK YOU HENRY!!) And lookeeeee!! I'm knitting on the machine.
This project was started on the Silver Reed LK150. I thought it would work, but I was not happy with the results. The proto type was sorta acceptible, but as the designer, it was not acceptible to me. Henry QUICKLY volunteered to take it off my hands. It is a tubular knit scarf out of Cascade's Eco Alpaca. The labor to do the hand work was rather extensive. The quality of that hand work was really unacceptible. So....onto another idea.
Use the SK860 and SR860. (photo proof above!) Knit tubular. This yarn is the same weight of Cascade's Eco Alpaca. It is Cascade's Pure Alpaca in Summer Sky Heather (same color as my eyes ;) !! ).
Already I can see it is working better, but I've restarted once. The 2nd start isn't flawless, but progress is being made.
Why such a fuss over a scarf??? Dang!! It's been cold in Portland and I usually walk to work. I don't like to wear hats, but I will wear a scarf wrapped around my head, around my ears and tied behind my neck. Or if it isn't too cold, just simplied tied around my neck.
Enough blogging!! I'm going back to the machine....
